Common Candidate Questions and Answers
Advantages:
- We’ve worked with many of these national companies regularly since
1975. We know their unique needs and will advise you accordingly. We will
also give you tips on corporate culture and appropriate ways to interview to
be most successful.
- We are considered Professional Career
Managers. That means: We will negotiate on your behalf
regarding money, benefits, relocation expenses etc. You’re a professional and shouldn’t be bothered
with negotiating on your own behalf, which is never as effective as using an
agent. (Career Manager) Can you
imagine athletes in professional sports negotiating their own financial package?
- We know the range. Before we accept a recruiting
assignment, we find out what the salary range is and whether there is room
for you to advance, or that pursuing this position would be a waste of time
for you.
Cost:
There
is no cost to you, the "candidate." Our client companies pay our fees
for having us help them locate, recruit and hire the best engineers and
technical candidates who match their needs.
Obligation: You
have no formal obligation to us. However, before we invest a considerable amount
of time trying to find the perfect position for you, we ask that you agree to
the following conditions.
- That you inform us of the positions you have previously
applied for – whether on your own or with the assist of a recruiter. It is
not professional to duplicate efforts with the same firm and we certainly
don’t want to jeopardize your previous efforts.
- If after two weeks of marketing effort, appropriate
positions within your geographical area cannot be identified, we will inform
you regarding that effort. You will then become a part of our candidate
database and will be considered for any appropriate future positions. We
would very much like to continue working with you and representing you to
client firms. Because most of our contacts are with technical hiring
authorities, it would certainly be advantageous for you to inform us of any
potential lead or opening so that your information can be directly presented
to that hiring authority for consideration.
Again, we encourage you to stay in touch, as this is an
indicator of your continued interest in finding a new career opportunity. If you
have any questions about the above, please ask, we’re here to help you.
